Kendra Evone Johnson of Lutz, Florida, has been indicted on charges of international parental kidnapping and passport fraud. She faces up to 13 years in federal prison if convicted. Authorities allege that in June 2023, Johnson falsified passport applications for her children, claiming she made over 100 failed attempts to contact their father since 2018. The claims included unreturned calls, texts, letters, and social media messages.
